Bedroom styling – home
Since we moved in last year, it was time for an update in our bedroom. We kept everything white and minimal from the start because we didn’t really know what to do. Our bathroom is next to our bedroom as definitely feels like an Parisian hotel. We wanted to extend this to our bedroom. But after some months, we wanted to improve the interior a little bit.
First of all we changed our floor a couple of months ago and this has been the best improvement ever since. From an all white hotel chic to a warm and cozy place to come home after a long day at work. The beautiful wooden floor gives more ambiance and more warmth.
Our bedroom is not small, but not big at all. But because of this, we do not have a lot of space to use a lot of furniture and that’s why we had to be a little creative with our space. We decided to go for two different nightstand but in the same material. The two travertin tables are very ‘airy’ because of their shape. I think you always have to work with these kind of shapes when having a small room.
Because we didn’t want to paint the whole bedroom we had to think of something else to make a big change. We finally decided to look for a roomdivider. As a small girl, I have always wanted to have a roomdivider. It has been on my wishlist for so many years but I never found the right one. Untill I saw this webbing version with black accents I knew this one was going to be mine. I have bough mine at ‘‘wonenmetlef.nl‘‘ which is a Dutch webshop with a lot of amazing interior decoration.
A roomdivider doesn’t take a lot of space but makes a big difference to your interior. Webbing is also an ‘airy’ material as it is kind of seethrough. For me this was an important requirement. Besides this, webbing gives a cozy feeling to our bedroom because it’s a natural product. It makes me think of Indonesia where we love to come. That’s why I love to use natural products in our bedroom because it brings back a lot of memories.
I feel like our bedroom is perfect at the moment. It’s feels chic and cozy at the same time. We love to wake up here on a Sunday morning and drink our cappuccino in bed. Bedlinen is also important to make improvements in your bedroom. I used to work with neutrals and different kind of materials like cotton and linen.
And last but not least, we have been painting one wall in our bedroom with a chalky paint in a mud color. This color matches our interior perfect because of our grey velvet curtains and the wooden floor which has the same kind of shades. I will show you this very soon.
